2018 Toyota Corolla
The Toyota Corolla celebrated a big event in 2017: it’s the 50th anniversary of the popular vehicle’s release. Even though the Corolla is the best-selling vehicle of all time, many people may not know about this important birthday this past year. That is because the Corolla has a reputation for being practical, affordable and safe, but not particularly exciting. The changes coming to the 2018 Toyota Corolla are not likely to challenge this reputation anytime soon, they are reliable additions to an already reliable car.
The 2018 Toyota Corolla looks fairly similar to recent previous models of the Corolla; however, there have been a few minor tweaks made to the body and the font end has been slightly redesigned. The new trim is reminiscent of the Toyota Camry. The front end had been rounded and the grille redesigned, when taken together give the Corolla a futuristic and forward-looking appearance.
A whole host of new safety features come standard on the 2018 Toyota Corolla. A rear camera is now standard on all versions of the Corolla to make parking maneuvers safer. The 2018 Corolla also comes with pre-collision braking and automatic pedestrian detection. Cruise control has been made more adaptive and intuitive, and steering assist to keep the driver from drifting between lanes has been added. All these features have been optional on previous Corollas, but are standard on the newest model.
Corolla Special Edition
Perhaps the biggest change to the 2018 Toyota Corolla is introduction of a special 50th Anniversary Edition of the vehicle. The Special Edition has several new pain color options, including a deep burgundy Black Cherry that is exclusive to this version of the vehicle. It also comes with specially-finished 17-inch wheels and a 50th anniversary badge. The interior of the Special Edition Corolla is black with burgundy accents. It is outfitted with a Toyota Etune multimedia system with a large touchscreen. This system integrates all your music and other media inside the vehicle, as well as providing GPS navigation.
