2018 Toyota RAV4
The 2018 Toyota Rav4 is Safer than Ever
The 2018 Toyota Rav4 has a number of new fun features that make it a pleasant rider whether you’re driving alone or with a full set of passengers. A number of new safety features make the new Rav4 stand out, and the vehicle has received an exterior makeover as well. These changes more than make up for a slight price increase in newer models.
New Safety Features
The biggest change to the 2018 Toyota Rav4 is that a number of useful safety features have been made standard on ever version of the vehicle. These features are part of the “Toyota Safety Sense P.” Included in the package are pre-collision braking, automatic passenger detection, headlines with automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning that can help keep your vehicle in its lane automatically. The Platinum model of the 2018 Rav4 also comes with surround-view camera system that helps with parking and other tricky maneuvers.
Other Changes to the Rav4
The 2018 Toyota Rav4 has relatively minor cosmetic changes. Lower-body plastic is now the same color as the rest of the vehicle rather than standard black. The front end has been tweaked to look more aggressive and speedy but lowering the grille and concealing the tires.
There are also no new features under the new Rav4’s hood. The vehicle continues to be available in both gasoline and hybrid models, with the hybrid version offering slightly better acceleration and speed. Gas mileage is high for vehicles in the Rav4’s class. Gasoline Rav4’s get 24 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway. Hybrid models get 34 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway.
